A further thought on getting out of the rut.

As you might know, I've become aware of a rut that I've been living in, and am now working on getting out of it. Today I came across this video, and I think it dovetails quite nicely into this theme...

Needless to say, I'll be turning off the internet when I'm outside my home.

I need to work more on this. Not taking my phone/technology with me everywhere. My first step was getting off of Facebook and Twitter. My next step is leaving my phone home more often :)

what a powerful video. I think more of us need to step away from our computers, smart phones and tablets more and look at what's around us. I just commented on my blog that I needed to pull away from facebook more as I think that's one of the worst social networking sites for getting sucked in and wasting away hours. As besides blogging it is the only real social networking site I use, I am determined to spend more time working on my blog which is geared towards getting myself know, than on facebook where I am mostly just wasting time.

Pretty deep. And so true. We definitely need to spend more time with each other!

A powerful video indeed! I had a strong urge to share it on Facebook but recently I completely deleted my Facebook account. I really don't miss it much. Computers suck us in to hours of idle time every single day. I think my life would be much more whole without the presence of a computer in my days.
