OK I'll answer Wednesday's Questions.

Theresa suggested last time that I should answer my own questions, so I thought I'd make a post of it while I wait for something interesting to happen in my life. ;-)

1) My Favorite Story Ever:

It's a toss up with Arthurian legends, but my favorite story is probably Robin Hood. I've only ever bumped into one version of the story that I didn't like. And it wasn't the one where this picture came from.

Incidentally, if you like Robin Hood and haven't seen the BBC version yet, do. It probably has the best ever Sherriff of Nottingham.

And then there's Guy of Gisborne, who sometimes makes me think of switching sides.

2) If I could invite anyone in the world to dinner, I'd make it a dinner party with Oscar Wilde and Winston Churchill. I'd spend most of the night laughing myself silly as they trade barbs. I don't think anyone would much care about food.

Who do you think would win?

3) One experience that I think people should try at least once: Fencing. Come on, it's legally stabbing people for fun.

So if you haven't answered my questions yet. What are your answers?

What a brilliant idea to invite TWO fascinating people to dinner so you can just sit back and listen. Thanks for the tip on Robin Hood BBC. I've been in love w/ him since Disney's version - he was such a...fox, hehe. Also, I totally want to take fencing lessons, but the only place I can find only has little kids in the class. *sigh* I suppose I'll just have to get good at jabbing low.

We've watched the BBC version of Robin Hood. The sheriff is amazing.

My son teaches fencing, and I've never fenced. I really, really want to though. I'm sure he'd teach me. Maybe this summer.

While Robin Hood is a very good story and a great choice :) I would of chose something like the pursuit of Happiness. Every Page was brilliant.

I took fencing in university. It's tough unless you've got amazing reflects. The best part was when they taught us to use the saber (or something like that). Fortunately my partner liked me so he didn't complain too loudly when I accidentally gave him a welt in the side. Oops!

I've never read or seen Robin Hood--I keep meaning to, but haven't gotten around to it.

I have to admit, fencing kind of scares me with all those blades flashing around. But I do think it would be interesting to learn.

I have the original Robin Hood on my TBR list. Its free in the Kindle Store. Love those old classics, along with Treasure Island and Tale of Two Cities.

Better than Alan Rickman? Yes, he was over the top, but I love Alan Rickman's bad guys. lol

Excellent choice for dinner guests. I've seen some quotes from those two. Holy cow!

I just want to say that I LOVE Robin Hood as well! I've seen a couple of versions that haven't met my expectations, but mostly I just sop anything up. I even loved the kiddie movie where Keira Knightly played Robin Hood's daughter :)

To have so many versions of the one story says Robin Hood is a goodie. I like most of the versions I've seen. Your dinner parties would be interesting!

Great questions, Misha.
I'll play.
Favourite story:
Beauty and the Beast
This was the first time I realised backstory existed.

If I could invite anyone to dinner:
Ernest Hemingway and Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle
(lean writing and I didn't think Sherlock could make it)

One experience everyone should try:
Physically bringing aid to the truly destitute or the elderly and lonely
(Life changing, for all concerned)

Ooo, I'm so glad you answered your own questions! Sorry I didn't get back sooner. Crazy week!

I'd love to have dinner with Oscar Wilde too.
