Singing again and other news

After weeks of not singing a note, I'm finally back at class. It's actually a nice feeling, even though I'm a bit disappointed by how much my voice's quality slipped back.

Oh well. I'll catch back up as soon as possible.

Otherwise, I'm still going strong in my carb-fast. Next week I'll be reintroducing selected carbs to my diet so it's not a shock for me when I have to eat lots of bread in Berlin.

And yes, I'm assuming there will be lots of bread there.

BUT! There will also be lots of walking, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Otherwise, I'm re-thinking the structure of my blogging at the moment.

I currently have three. All are at least moderately active. But the thing is, I don't think the third blog is sustainable. I started it as a chronicle of my activities as a new orchid grower. All nice and well, but I made one very crucial error. I assumed orchids to be tricky little buggers.

And they're not.

So now I'm stuck pulling at my hair because half the time, I have no idea what I should write about.

Now I'm wondering. Would you all mind terribly if I combined this blog with that one? It's not highly scientific or anything and hopefully it shouldn't be all that boring.

The reason why I want to merge the two is that orchids are starting to form a significant form of my life, so it can be put in here every now and then.

What do you think?

Why not? I am very bad with plants. So bad I use to say even the plastic ones wither under my care. I could use some advice.

I don't see why not! PS: I haven't sung a note in MONTHS. I really should ...

Well, it's my first time here, but it's your blog and you can do whatever pleases you really.
Maybe you can just try merging for a while to see if it works for you and your regular readers. If not, you can always change it later :)

I think you should do what you enjoy. And if you think having a blog dedicated to growing orchids is fun then I'd recommend you continue. But only if you like it. I can't keep up with one, three sounds crazy.

About the time I noticed you getting into orchid growing I was in central Florida and a garden shop had a truck out front with a guy selling orchids. He said they were very easy to grow, so I wondered how you could talk about them on a continuing basis.
Well, you could introduce new varities with photographs every so often but I think combining is a better idea.
Looking forward to hearing you sing. Good luck on the low-carb thing; eat plenty of fresh fruits and high water-content vegetables.
Stay safe and be happy.

Yay for the singing!

If you included pictures of orchids, I'd be able to identify an orchid and my mother-in-law would be very impressed (I'm not green-fingered at all) - so you'd be doing me a huge service :-)

I say combine as many topics as you like. A new flavor for every day of the week!
