See, TCoML is a blog about my non-writing life. Yes, my writing takes up such a big part of who I am that I have to push myself to do something else, otherwise I will find myself hours later, having written/edited a lot, but without having done much of anything else.
And that's what happening now.
Because I have been quite productive when it comes to writing, but I can't really find a single thing to say about any other part of my life.
I guess this will improve once my singing instructor and dance coach comes back. Everything stopped for the Christmas holidays, so my writing got some leeway, but it has to stop at some point.
It's just not all that healthy for me to have nothing to say about anything else.
What about you? How do you maintain balance in your life? Have anything in your life that always threatens to take up all of your time? Things, not children. ;-P

This is something I've been thinking about lately too. I go to work, come home, repeat. My life consists of writing, reading, and editing. Nothing much else, not that I mind, but sometimes I wonder if I should do something else every so often to break up the routine.
finding balance is so difficult, its like a job on its own. But not impossible so me and you both do actually have a new hobby...lol
I echo Wendy's first sentence, but writing takes up much of my time.
I think I should take up housecleaning and yard work (only my own) as a hobby :)
I go to work, come home and do some blogging, sometimes some writing/editing.
I try not to feel guilty about the lack of consistent writing.
Hey, the dishes are done and the laundry is clean. What else needs done . .
......dhole
When I need a break from writing, I garden. And during the winter when there's not much gardening to be done, I do needlepoint. It just helps me recharge my batteries and gives me something physical to say "I've done it; it's finished"--it's hard to say that about writing and editing.
I am trying to keep a balance I hope things stay normal so that I can do everything I want to do this year.
Blessings, Joanne
Singing and dancing sounds fun to me!
Let's see... I've got knitting, reading, scrapbooking (haven't made time for that in a year!), baking...
Singing is certainly a hobby. I'm sure you're just missing it right now. When I'm not writing, I like to read. I used to take yoga, but I haven't for a while. I also like to bike ride, but in warmer weather.
Boy do I sound lazy.
Happy New Year!
I can relate to this. My writing used to be just one part of my personal blog, but then I had to split it off because it was taking over. But now I only post there once or twice a month. Ugh.
I have this horrible thing called work. So annoying, can't stand it.
:D
