Isn't it interesting how God provides for things you forget to pray about?
Like doing something different.
On Monday I mentioned the fact that I felt stuck in a rut and out of the blue, I got an invitation to go out onto the sea for the first time.
It was mostly awesome. Simple pleasures lightened my soul on the way to the harbor, like the sun on my face and wind in my hair.
And once I was on the sea, I got to face my fears of the depths and experience what it feels like to be truly dwarfed.
I truly believe I got the chance because I voiced my need to do something different - even if I never did ask God to help me with it.
I did, however, beg Him to be let on land after a few hours. But that's a totally different story. :-D
What about you? Ever got a surprise opportunity to do something different? How did you like it?

He knows what you have need of even before you ask him.
I love that story. He provides in the most surprising ways as if to say, just in case you forgot I'm listening.
It is indeed good to know that God is listening even when we aren't asking :)
So nice, I love to be on sea!
It happens a lot. I'm a firm believer in Guardian Angels. Not the flashy kind all twinkly and with over large eyes. No, the small voice or nudge or the inexplicable serendipitous event
I was reading last night and when I came across this verse I immeditately thought of this post!
"... for your Father knows what you need before you ask him." ~ Matt 6:8
Rachel read all chapt. 6 Matt. Yes he knows what you have need. All men have free will to choose. I can't really make this short with-out getting into other things but hear it is. The thread thru-out the whole bible is Gen 8:22 and Mark 4 discribes what God's Kingdom is like and He said seek first His Kingdom and everything will be added unto you. ( everything you do has to with seed sowing and getting a harvest.)read the word of God those are seeds that get planted in your heart. (soil) name your seed water your seed God will give the increase some 30 60 100 fold. (multiply)
