Not very exciting, but I'm thinking things will look a lot better once I've had time to go shopping. For example: The bottom picture is of the corner where my antique writing desk will stand. Can't wait!

I can't see the pictures, but an antique writing desk sounds wonderful. While I'm not redecorating at the moment, I've had the insane urge to purge and redo my whole house ever since I got back from being evacuated during a fire. I'm holding back to make sure I won't regret it if I'm too hasty, but then I'm going for it! Good luck as you continue moving and getting settled.
I can't see the pictures either. I love the antique desk idea - that's definitely on my wish list once I get my study back (when kids have left home though, so at least 5 years!)
We've just today started decorating the hall. Currently builders are installing a loft ladder, and tomorrow we have the fun task of replacing floorboards before painting enough woodwork to circumnavigate England. Hallways have to be the least fun part of the house to decorate!
These things take time. It's what I say to my wife.
