Why my voice is freaking...

I've just come back from solo singing class, so I'm a bit tired. My voice (which can't really decide if it's an alto a mezzo or a lyrical soprano) is freaking out a bit because my instructor is giving me a wide variety of stuff to sing.

Last week, it was this:

 This week it was this

and this

So my voice is sort of going... uhm... what?

Done anything interesting recently? What are you planning to do this weekend?

  1. We are going to a special night of music and desserts at our church on 2/11. Looking forward to it. Have to come up with some goodies.

    1. I'll definitely do a vid of me singing one day. But not right now while my voice still battles me with every note I sing. ;-)

  3. I hope I get some more writing done! And not get too distracted by Pinterest and Tumblr and reading...

    1. Ah yes... distractions. They have been my bane as well for the past few days. But I figure I needed a bit of a break. :-)

    1. Yes I find it tragic that Eva died so young.

I will definitely put up a video one day. :-)

  5. Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog! What kind of historical fiction do you write? A libretto I think would be rather difficult to accomplish. More power to you! What a fantastic choice of Eva Cassidy. I've enjoyed many of her renditions, probably my fav is Fields of Gold.

    1. My pleasure Jaye. I write Westerns and the Libretto is about a fictional turn-of-the-century diamond rush.

It is definitely new to me, but I am enjoying the process so far.

  6. I haven't done anything half as interesting as singing Judy Garland's signature song. That's amazing! Ending up a wonderful weekend by meeting an old writing friend who's here from France. It's been a great two-day break. Hope yours was too.

    1. That sounds wonderful. My weekend was actually pretty dull. But I tend to like it that way, because my week days tend to be very busy. :-)
